I think verbal or written communication is not sufficient to decipher art. I do not believe in visual art as a direct communicative way, exclusive of what is rational.

I assume that my first predisposition to installation was, among the different intentions, an attempt to decipher the sense of art during the process, assembly and interaction of the viewer with the work of art. I firmly believe that art is not the work of art itself, nor the experience of the one who looks at it, but what derives from their (object/viewer) meeting. Therefore, the creation of environments and/or the use of sense of space in an installation are of primary importance for the creation of this “meeting” that I aim to call art.

Today I still believe in these ideas related to the structure and glance towards art, but probably I am also more linked to the process of legitimization of art itself.

The use of technological means in my work has contributed in some way to the challenge of creating an immaterial sensation. They represent an implicit duality, where the mean creates a “legible sense” beyond its same pattern. The result produced by these means turns into the immaterial sensation par excellence, something that we can see but we cannot touch or grab, and that does not exist in the shape we see it. That result would appear equivalent to certain areas, sensations, and/or experiences that we find in everyday life and that are not quantifiable at all. They are illusions, believable fiction and reality at the same time, but with the virtue of the critic distance. This result is the closest to the virtuality that we call Art.
